Andrei Gulyashki, his "Avakoum Zahov Meets James Bond" is an answer to Ian Fleming's 007 Series, and the first of this books to be published in English. Gulyashki was born in Sofia in 1914 and educated at the French College and Sofia University. His first book of short stories was published in 1933 when he was 19 years old. Some of his more important novels include "Love", "The Golden Fleece" and "The Precious Stone", and he recieved the award of the Union of Bulgarian Writers for his "Avakoum Zahav" series, and "Seven Days of Our Lives".
