A portrait of Tassilo Fürstenberg. Tassilo von Fürstenberg , [1] gen. "Tassilo (Prince) von Furstenberg" (* 20th June 1903 in Brussels as Tassilo Egon Maria Karlgeorg Leo Prinz zu Fürstenberg ; [2] [3] † 15. July 1987 in Strobl , Austria ) was an Austro-Hungarian formerly nobleman from the house Fürstenberg . [4] The Princely House Fürstenberg was an extensive in Europe former noble family , [5] which is occupied since the 13th century. Tassilo was in 1903 as the eldest of five children of Karl Emil, Prince zu Fürstenberg [6] (* 1867 in Prague ; † 1945 in Strobl, 1919 Karl Emil Fuerstenberg [7] ) and Maria, nee Countess Festetics of Tolna (1881- 1953 1919 Maria Furstenberg ), born in Brussels, where his father was at that time Austria-Hungarian diplomat. He married on 19 November 1938 in Turin Claire Jeanne Agnelli (born April 7, 1920), a sister of former Fiat boss Gianni and Umberto Agnelli . From this marriage the children were born: Ira Fürstenberg [1] (* 1940) Egon Furstenberg [1] (1946-2004) Sebastian Furstenberg (born 1950) [1] At the marrying of Tassilo von Fürstenberg in the Italian industrialist family Agnelli in 1938 tied Claras grandfather Gianni Agnelli high hopes for the continuation of the dynasty entrepreneurs, especially Tassilo dominated fluently four languages. Tassilo itself however soon lost all interest in joining the family business and later his wife. After divorcing Claire Agnelli he married on 17 October 1975, the Texan Cecil Amelia Blaffer called "Titi Furstenberg". She was the daughter of US industrialist Robert Lee Blaffer (Humble Oil, later ExxonMobil ) and the Kunstphilantropin Sarah Jane Campbell, whose family the owner of Texaco were. This option includes a scansion of the original information found in the back of the photograph. These handwritten scribbles and notes are essentials because they are part of what creates the value of our vintage photographs.
