Karen Black, born Karen Blanche Ziegler on July 1, 1939 in Park Ridge, Illinois, died August 8, 2013 in Santa Monica, California, was an American actor in film and theater. Black's breakthrough was the movie Easy Rider (1969). Then she performed an oscar-nominated effort in Five Easy Pieces (1970) and participated in Alfred Hitchcock's last film, Arvet (1976). She was in over 100 movies. One of her most attentive in recent years was the House of 1000 Corpses (2003).
