Adrian Noble is a theatre director, and was also the artistic director and chief executive of the Royal Shakespeare Company from 1990 to 2003. During his career, he received over 20 Olivier Award nominations. In 1980 he became assistant director at the RSC where his first production was Alexander Ostrovsky's The Forest. In 1988 he was promoted to director. He was born on 19 July 1950.
