Aircraft for jungle patrols. A Prestwick Pioneer making use of a 150-yard landing strip at Fort shean in the Malayan jungle. This Scottish aircraft can fly at less than 30 m.p.h. and she is capable of taking off in 75 yards and land in 66 yards. This performance makes the plane ideally suitable as a communication aircraft and for jungle patrols in territories where it is extremely difficult to clear the thick undergrowth for airstrips.
