The 1964 Summer Olympics, officially known as the Games of the XVIII Olympiad was an international multi-sport event held in Tokyo, Japan, from October 10 to 24, 1964. Robert Keyser "Bob" Schul (born September 28, 1937) is a former American long-distance runner. As of 2012, he is the only American to have won the Olympic gold medal in the 5000 m, at the 1964 Summer Olympics in Tokyo.
