Cathy Ferguson is an American former competition swimmer, Olympic champion, and former world record-holder. She competed at the 1964 Olympic Games in Tokyo, Japan, where she received the gold medal for winning the women's 100-meter backstroke, and another gold as a member of the first-place U.S. team in the women's 4x100-meter medley relay. Ferguson was inducted into the International Swimming Hall of Fame as an "Honor Swimmer" in 1978. She was born on July 17, 1948. Christine "Kiki" Caron is a French former backstroke swimmer. She won the silver medal in 100 m backstroke at the 1964 Summer Olympics and the gold medal in the same event at the 1966 European Aquatics Championships. She also participated in the 1968 Summer Olympics where she was the first woman to carry the French flag at the opening ceremony. During her swimming career she won 29 national swimming titles. She was born on 10 July 1948.
