Description

Cloakroom attendant helps a client on with his coat. For Publication in Monday's Daily Papers. August 6th, 1945. Famous Berlin hotel converts bedroom in to dining room. The famous Aldon Hotel in Berlin, which has been badly burnt, has now commenced serving meals again, mostly potatoes, and in contrast to the luxurious dining room, a bedroom is the only place Germans can eat. This bedroom is the only part left where meals can be served. The bathroom is used as a pantry and the tiny hall now serves as a cloakroom. The waiter, Michel has served in the hotel since 1921.
