In Skälby master painter Carl-Erik Sandahl, VÃ¥rgÃ¥rda, was stopped with his caravan. Everything was in order and Mr Sandahl could continue the journey since the first police officer Stig Persson noted this. On the night between Wednesday and Thursday Stockholm County experienced its largest road block to date. 250 police officers, 60 cars and 20's motorcycle policemen struck 21 o'clock an iron ring around Stockholm. At 41 sites from Osthammar in the north to Nynäshamn in the south - stoppeding motorists; sobriety, driver's license and registration documents were checked. The night raid was part of the National Police Agency stricter traffic campaign. From the board to all county police chiefs have set a directive to make traffic raids on this scale at certain intervals.
