Gustaf VI Adolf, Oscar Fredrik Wilhelm Olaf Gustaf Adolf, born November 11, 1882 at Stockholm Castle in Stockholm, died September 15, 1973 at Helsingborg's Lasarett in Helsingborg, Malmöhus County, was King of Sweden from October 29, 1950 and until his death. He was the son of Gustaf V and Victoria of Baden and grandfather of Carl XVI Gustaf. He married 1905 with the British princess Margaret (1882-1920) and married for the second time in 1923 with Louise Mountbatten (1889-1965).
