Henry Alfred Kissinger 1923 in Fuerth as Heinz Alfred Kissinger) is an American political scientist and former politician of the Republican Party. The Jewish German Americans Kissinger played within the foreign policy of the United States from 1969 to 1977 a central role; he represented a hard realpolitik as well as one of the architects of relaxation during the Cold War. From 1969 to 1973, Kissinger was National Security Advisor, 1973-1977 US Secretary of State. In 1973 he was together with Lê Đức Thọ the Nobel Peace Prize for a cease-fire and withdrawal agreement with North Vietnam. From 1977 to 1981, Kissinger director of the influential US private think tank Council on Foreign Relations. He was born on May 27. Bernhard Vogel is a German politician (CDU). Vogel was born in Göttingen. He was Minister-President of Rhineland-Palatinate from 1976 to 1988, where he was succeeded by Carl-Ludwig Wagner and of Thuringia from 5 February 1992 to 5 June 2003, where he was succeeded by Dieter Althaus. He is the only person to have been premier of two different German federal states and is the longest governing Minister-President of Germany. His brother is the SPD politician Hans-Jochen Vogel. He twice served as President of the Bundesrat in 1976/77 and 1987/88. He was born on born 19 December 1932. Hans-Dietrich Genscher is a German politician of the liberal Free Democratic Party (FDP). He served asForeign Minister and Vice Chancellor of Germany from 1974 to 1992 (except for a two-week break in 1982), making him the longest-tenured holder of either post. In 1991, he was the chairman of the Organization for Security and Co-operation in Europe (OSCE). He was born on 21 March 1927.
