Leslie Nielsen as Lieutenant Frank Drebin and Priscilla Presley as Jane Spencer in a romantic scene from the 1994 comedy film "N*ked Gun 33⅓: The Final Insult". N*ked Gun 33⅓: The Final Insult is a 1994 comedy film, and the third and final installment in The N*ked Gun film series, which was based on the Police Squad! television series. The "33⅓" in the title is a reference to the speed at which long playing (LP) phonograph records (gramophone records) play. The film was originally going to be titled The N*ked Gun 33⅓: Just for the Record, but was changed after the studio felt that audiences would not get the joke. It was also going to simply be titled The N*ked Gun 3: The Final Insult, according to some Christmas 1993 video previews. Leslie Nielsen returns as Lieutenant Frank Drebin (his original character from Police Squad!), along with Priscilla Presley as Jane Spencer Drebin, O. J. Simpson as Officer Nordberg and George Kennedy as Captain Ed Hocken. Newcomers to the series Fred Ward, Anna Nicole Smith, and Kathleen Freeman co-star as a gang of bombers set to blow up the Academy Awards ceremony. Raye Birk reprises his role as the villainous "Pahpshmir" from The N*ked Gun: From the Files of Police Squad!. Leslie William Nielsen, OC (11 February 1926 – 28 November 2010) was a Canadian actor, comedian, and producer. He appeared in more than 100 films and 150 television programs, portraying more than 220 characters. Nielsen was born in Regina, Saskatchewan. He enlisted in the Royal Canadian Air Force and later worked as a disc jockey before receiving a scholarship to study theatre at the Neighborhood Playhouse. Making his acting debut in 1948, he made more than 50 television appearances two years later. Nielsen made his film debut in 1956, with supporting roles in several drama, western, and romance films produced between the 1950s and the 1970s, with Nielsen crossing genres in both television and films. Priscilla Ann Presley (born May 24, 1945) is an American actress and business magnate. She is the former wife of the late entertainer Elvis Presley as well as co-founder and former chairwoman of Elvis Presley Enterprises (EPE), the company that turned Graceland into one of the top tourist attractions in the United States. She practices Scientology. In her acting career, Presley starred with Leslie Nielsen in the three successful N*ked Gun films, and played the role of Jenna Wade on the long-running television series Dallas.
