Iris and the Lieutenant is a 1946 Swedish drama film directed by Alf Sjoberg and starring Mai Zetterling, Alf Kjellin and Ake Claesson. It won the Grand Prix at the 1946 Cannes Film Festival. The film boosted Zetterling's international profile. Shortly afterwards she moved to Britain to make Frieda (1947).*** Mai Elisabeth Zetterling was a Swedish actress and film director. She was born on 24 May 1925 and died on 17 March 1994. Zetterling was born in Västerås, Västmanland, Sweden to a working-class family. She started her career as an actress at the age of 17 at Dramaten, the Swedish national theater, appearing in war-era films.*** Alf Kjellin was a Swedish film actor and director, who also appeared on some television shows. Kjellin was well established as a film actor when he occasionally took on roles in television shows. For example, in 1965 he prominently guest-starred as Stalag Luft Kommandant Colonel Max Richter in the two-part episode "P.O.W." (Episodes 30 and 31) of Twelve O'Clock High. Shipping is based on the actual cost of shipping, we ship from Iceland where the images are and we ship with Iceland Post and UPS. Iceland Post has fantastic shipping record and we have many shipments arriving earlier to clients than local shipments within Europe and USA. We are based right between USA and Europe so we can offer fast shipping to both continents. We do not offer discounts on shipping but we gladly offer combined shipping.
