The Gärdesskolan has been sponsored with half a million kroner for repainting four classrooms, a corridor and a stairwell. Hanna Wikström and Carola Korhoneni Class 3 A are happy that they have finally had a good time. The painters' master's association stands for money and work, but the motives have the children's drawings as models. Part of the school remains unpainted and the purpose is to show how it could look if there was only money The painters have used about 700 pupils drawings in their work and the school's hope is that the newly painted, bright walls will be nice for a long time.

In the past, the photos were often parts of a series or were mass-produced by the archives. Nowadays, their number is decimated - many were destroyed by time, use, or natural disasters. Few were preserved and are nowadays carefully stored in our archives.
