Ostend on alert. Os tende lived hours of anxiety on Friday morning: a trawler had brought into the harbor, caught in its nets, a time-delayed marine mine whose movement had started while we were trying to disarray it. We immediately evacuated the boat and the surroundings, including the minque where the sale of fish could not take place. Then the Naval Force used its head jackets to tow the heavy trawler out of the harbor and it was stranded on a sandbank at the level of Bredene's bay. Our photo, taken from the beach, shows the shipwrecked ship and the Naval Force stars noticing the guard not far from him. (Belga - LUC. 30 / II / 57)
