Rugby is a widely known full-contact team sport. It originated in England in the first half of the 19th century. To types of Rugy are played in the world: Rugby Union and Rugby League. Originally, Rugby Union was played in England by gentlemen amateurs. Rugby League was played by working-class guys for pay. The two developed a different set of rules.
However, there are two codes of rugby: running with the ball in hand with the aim of touching down over the opponent's goal line (scoring a try). It is common for a game to be played between two teams of 15 players using an oval-shaped ball on a rectangular field called a pitch. The field has H-shaped goalposts at both ends.
