U.S. Bombers Wipe Out Japanese Cotton Mill. As soon as the Japanese got the cotton ginning and oil mill shown in this aerial photograph into operation, it was blasted by 25 tons of bombs dropped from U.S. Army Air Force bombers. The mill was located at Allanmyo, Burma, and was designed to produce cotton cloth for uniforms and vegetable oils for military purposes. Key to the photo: A-Living quarters, B-Warehouses, C-Boiler house, D-Ginning factory, E-Unginned cotton, F-Ground nut mill, G-Workshops, H-Pump house. The buildings were leveled by the U.S. bombers.
