Photographer Anna Riwkin (1908-1970) is one of the pioneers in Swedish photography. Starting out as a ballet dancer, a broken foot made her changing careers, and she established her own studio, focusing on artists within dance and theatre, in 1928. From the 1930´s Anna Riwkin added photo journalism to her skills, and in 1936 she held her first exhibition. Anna Riwkin is represented in the collections of Moderna Museet for example.
