At the Windsor fish and chip shop, Rose Hill, manager Mr Roy Wedlake said: "It's a load of rubbish. I can't see hamburgers taking over from us." His wife Muriel, who was born in a fish and chip shop in Wales, added: "My family has been involved with fish and chips for three generations. The business is stronger than ever at the moment." Meanwhile, Chinese takeaway owners have also hit back at the prophecy, with Mrs Suking Lee of Lee's Takeaway saying the tradition will never die.
