Mazda 616 Limousine - Vintage Photograph

The "Big One" from the Germany program by MAZDA impresses with its clear lines, the built-in comfort at no extra charge and the technological status. With a length of 4.17 m and a width of 1.58 m, it comfortably offers four up to five passengers. The designers' motto was "bigger inside than outside". The four-cylinder four-stroke in-line engine with overhead camshaft and five-bearing crankshaft has a displacement of 1586 ccm and gives the car an output of 75 DIN / PS. The low compression of 8.6 allows the use of regular gasoline. The chassis consists of McPherson struts with anti-roll bar on the front axle and four trailing arms and a wishbone together with coil springs and telescopic shock absorbers on the rear axle. The smooth-running recirculating ball steering, which turns the car into an agile city vehicle, ends in a safety steering column with a telescopic spindle. The brake works via a dual-circuit brake system with a brake booster and acts on disc brakes with a floating brake caliper at the front and on simplex drum brakes at the rear. Few were preserved and are nowadays carefully stored in our archives.
