Hanau, June 23, Hanau's Iron virgins have their first big performance on this Saturday. The virgins, who have been dining since 1934, are brought to the city by a train with a military chapel. There they are standing at the cathedral and provide protection against the evil fires for a while. The virgins housed in an old light and weapon camp now receive a modern facilities and a small church. Hanau, 23. Juni Die Eisernen Jungfrauen von Hanau haben ihren ersten großen Auftritt an diesem Samstag. Die Jungfrauen, die seit ihren Dienst versehen, werden von einem Zug mit einer Militärkapelle in die Stadt gebracht. Dort werden sie am Dom stehen und für eine Weile Schutz vor den bösen Feuern bieten. Die Jungfrauen, die in einem alten Licht- und Waffenlager untergebracht waren, erhalten jetzt eine moderne Ausstattung und eine kleine Kirche.

Few were preserved and are nowadays carefully stored in our archives.
