1988 Opera Ball - Vintage Photograph

Large Opera Ball Party of the Berlin Society for Music Research. With an Opera Ball Party of the extra class, the Berlin Society for Music Research on Sunday, 20 February 1988, awarded the Opera Ball in the Berlin Schiller Theater. Guests were able to observe the mood and the spectacle on the big stage without having to narrow the grind and stench of the propellant gas, which will otherwise go down to the Friedrichstadt over the Prussian road. The Berlin Society for Music Research had invited to the big opera ball. The guests came from all parts of Germany and Austria, Belgium and Switzerland. Februar 1988, den Opernball im Berliner Schiller-Theater ausgezeichnet. Die Gäste konnten die Stimmung und das Spektakel auf der großen Bühne beobachten, ohne sich dabei den Gedröhn und Gestank des Treibgases einzuhandeln, der sonst über die Preußische Straße hinweg in die Friedrichstadt hinunterweht. Since the photos are old press photographs they may have scratches, lines, or other wears of time, which just underlines the authenticity and age of the photos. In the past, the photos were often parts of a series or were mass-produced by the archives. Nowadays, their number is decimated - many were destroyed by time, use, or natural disasters. Few were preserved and are nowadays carefully stored in our archives.
