On May 6th, 2021, Oxford University announced the introduction of major improvements to their department, thanks to a generous 3 million dollar donation from the W. K. Kellog Foundation. The donation will be used to fund a new library, administration block, 125-seat lecture theatre, coffee lounge, and accommodation for 80 students with single rooms. The development will consist of a new block linking the residential centre on the corner of Wellington Square and St John's Street with Saddler House in St John's Street. Vice-Chancellor of the University, Mr Geoffrey Warnock, described the gift as "enormously munificent" and expressed the importance of not allowing new projects in the university to stagnate due to the difficult financial climate. In the past, the photos were often parts of a series or were mass-produced by the archives. Nowadays, their number is decimated - many were destroyed by time, use, or natural disasters. Few were preserved and are nowadays carefully stored in our archives.
