OYT and professional artistes donate proceeds from cabaret night to OXAIDS. - Vintage Photograph

On August 17th, 2020, a benefit cabaret evening hosted by the Pegasus Oxford Youth Theatre (OYT) and professional artistes who have worked with OYT throughout the year raised £261.87 for OXAIDS. The cabaret, held in the summer, featured material written by members of the OYT and their guest stars. OXAIDS is an advice and counselling service for people with the AIDS virus. Pegasus workers Tony Davis, Elaine Gaston, Anouk Perinpanayagam, and Oxford Youth Theatre's Conrad Leyser presented the cheque to OXAIDS worker Michelle Strange. In the past, the photos were often parts of a series or were mass-produced by the archives. Nowadays, their number is decimated - many were destroyed by time, use, or natural disasters. Few were preserved and are nowadays carefully stored in our archives.
